“I'll have what she's having”
– When Harry Met Sally
We’re not just a bunch of individuals, and we’re not just a bunch of isolated households. We live in the same neighbourhood, area, country, and planet with about seven billion other people, and our economies inevitably overlap all the time.
Something that may seem positive for you, your household, or your firm, can very easily have negative consequences for another, and vice-versa and we don’t all start life on the same rung of the economic ladder. This section will have a look at how the economic choices we make might have consequences outside our control, and why someone else’s economic situation could have an effect on your own even if you’ve never met them before.
